About
My name is Eleni Pickett and I have been a counsellor for over eighteen years. I trained in London, working in further education and the charity sector. Since then, I moved to Hampshire where I have worked in schools and colleges as a Counsellor and as a Counsellor Coordinator of a Children's Charity and Sixth Form College. I work with adults and young people aged 16 onwards.
I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and am a therapeutic counsellor and supervisor.
I am a fully qualified, registered and accredited counsellor and supervisor and am a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy. I have a BA (Honours) degree, Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Supervision.
I have been a counsellor for over 18 years and currently run a Counselling Service for a Sixth Form College in Hampshire. Prior to this, I worked for number of young people's charities, as a safeguarding lead and for a Further Education College in London. I specialise in working with young people aged 16 onwards and adults.
My therapeutic approach is Humanistic, with an integrative approach to supervision. I draw from many other models in my counselling practice such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Counselling and Solution Focussed Therapy. My aim is to find a therapeutic approach which best suits you. I have undertaken regular continuing professional development throughout my career, such as single session therapy, anxiety, depression, self harm, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, addictions, bereavement and many more. I am in regular, ongoing professional supervision and work in accordance with the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
The first step in therapy is talking. Let's find a time where we can meet and talk about what's on your mind.
